Dr Andrew Campbell is a NSW Registered Psychologist, who specialises in child and adolescent behaviour, as well as family therapy. He has more than 10 years experience in this field with particular expertise in depression, anxiety, ADHD, abnormal childhood behaviour and learning difficulties. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Campbell is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology with the Faculty of Health Sciences at The University of Sydney. He regularly consults for State and Federal Government Services, as well as other organisations focused on youth issues such as the NSW Centre for the Advancement of Adolescent Health at Children's Hospital Westmead, Sydney. He has worked as a Private Practitioner at the Brain and Mind Research Institute Clinical Centre since 2007. Dr Campbell is regularly invited to speak on TV and radio on the topics of childhood and parental issues, such as the promotion of good behaviour and mental health practices in youth; improving communication in the home; and the use of innovative parenting strategies for childhood behaviour problems.
Yana Belogiannis is a Child and Adolescent Specialist, who is passionate about improving emotional and behavioural wellbeing in youth. Yana has developed several evidence based programs that build self esteem, healthy relationships, motivation and coping mechanisms in dealing with challenges. These programs, known as ‘Strive High,’ have been developed into fun and interactive workshops and seminars for youth (5-20 years of age), as well as for parents and educators (K-12). Yana also runs youth mentoring programs that assess individual learning styles and environmental influences in helping youth to maximise their potential and achieve positive growth. Yana’s passion for youth development includes a special interest in communication technologies (such as the internet, video games and mobile phones) and the behavioural impact they have on the wellbeing of children and adolescents, particularly the prevalence and impact of cyber bullying and obsessional online use. In addition to her work with the Kids and Teen Group, Yana is undertaking an internship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the Clinical Centre of the Brain and Mind Research Institute and is the School Counsellor for primary and high school students of St Euphemia College.
Marika Conomos is a Youth Education Specialist who strives to think creatively in developing new ideas and strategies to help children and their families live happy and fulfilling lives. Marika has a passion for educating and working with children of all ages. Her ability to understand and recognise that children and situations are unique has driven her over the years to develop a number of programs tailored to promote healthy social development and communication skills. Having worked as a Behavioural Intervention Therapist, with a special interest in the area of Autism and related developmental disorders, Marika seeks to identify holistic approaches to promote healthy relationships, growth and mental well-being. In addition to her work with the Kids and Teen Group, Marika is currently undertaking an internship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the Clinical Centre of the Brain and Mind Research Institute.
